MEET MEG KRAMER
Award-winning Author of YA Dark Fantasy

AUTHOR BIO
Meg Kramer is an award-winning young adult fantasy author and the creator of The Veiled Flame Series. Her debut novel, Amoura Awakened, received the Golden Wizard Book Award, a Readers' Favorite Silver Medal, and honors from the NYC Big Book Award. The series continues with Amoura Ascending, arriving summer 2026.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Meg writes emotionally immersive fantasy about girls seen as too much, too strange, or too powerful — and the worlds that fear them for it. Her stories center forbidden magic, buried histories, outsider heroines, and the dangerous weight of truth, pairing vivid worldbuilding with cinematic, intimate storytelling. A proud LGBTQIA+ ally, Meg believes every reader deserves to find themselves inside a story that refuses to look away.
PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe magic lives in the ordinary moments we rush past. I believe stories are spells we cast to make sense of ourselves. I believe authenticity is its own kind of magic — no wand required. I believe creative dreams don't expire — they outlast the voice that told you to be smaller. I believe everyone deserves a story that sees them exactly as they are.
So I wrote one.
I write about self-discovery and transformation because I've lived it. I write about characters finding their voice and their power because I know what it means to silence your own dreams and what it takes to reclaim them.
I wrote it in parking lots during piano lessons. At the dojo between sparring sessions. During swimming lessons, ballet class, naptime. Outside Barnes & Noble with a laptop and a lukewarm coffee. The story wouldn't wait for a perfect writing day, so neither did I.
I want readers to close my books feeling braver about their own path. I love the moment a character realizes they've been extraordinary all along — because I think that moment belongs to every single one of us.
Throw in some modern witches, a dash of personal awakening, and the courage to be different, and that's my kind of book.
