Privacy Policy for Who's the Witch Who Lives Here?
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Who's the Witch Who Lives Here? is made by Candid Crow Press LLC. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: the app does not collect, store, or send your personal information anywhere.
Location. The app asks to use your location so it can tell when you are standing near one of the houses on the map and play that story. Your location is used only on your device, in the moment. It is never saved by the app, never sent to us, and never shared with anyone. You can use the whole app without allowing location; you just tap a house to listen instead of walking to it.
Microphone, camera, and photos. The app may ask for these only when you choose a feature that needs them: the camera or photo library if you decide to send us a photo of a house, and the microphone only in a past version's element reading (the current version does not use it). Nothing is recorded or uploaded by the app. If you send us a house, you do it through your own email app, and the only thing we receive is the email you choose to send.
Your progress. The witches you have met and your element result are stored on your device only. They are not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.
Sharing. If you use the Share button, the app creates an image on your device and hands it to the iPhone share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you. We do not see it.
Analytics and tracking. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. It does not use cookies. It does not create an account or ask for your name or email.
Map tiles. The map is drawn with tiles from OpenStreetMap. When the map loads, your device requests those tiles from OpenStreetMap's servers, which may see your IP address as any website would. OpenStreetMap's policy is at https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
Children. The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes. If a future version of the app ever collects information, we will update this page and the date at the top before that version is released.
